If you have answered "yes" to all these questions, then MUGEN is made for you! It is a 2D fighting game engine, wholly customized. Created by Elecbyte, MUGEN only exists for the moment in a beta version. As development tools are quite rudimentary, you have to edit several files if you want to create a character. It is possible to customize almost everything: moving speed, special moves, speed and strenght for each attack, background musics (MP3, MIDI or MOD) and so on. Even the fighter selection screen can be customized. To run MUGEN, an ordinary PC running at 133 MHz with MS-DOS is enough.

In order to show you the great diversity of the fights, here are some snap shots:

-1- The redoubtable Tachibana Ukyo against Kame Sennin.

-8- Then, Billy and Kyo synchronize their special moves and pulverize the poor Hokutomaru. Some attacks are very spectacular.

-9- Even if some fighters are children, Mugen is aimed at warned people: for example, when he wins, Shadow Dio enjoys cutting off his veins and spreading his own blood on the body of his ennemies!

Funny side of Mugen

The fighter and technique varieties promise funny moments:

-1- But what are they doing?

-2- Sakura: "Wow, this fur is so soft... I could make a coat with it!".

-3- "Hey, give me all your money or I will make you a hole between your eyes!".

-4- Mugen is a game for real males. Goro Daimon: "Hey Saishu, let's play at a new game: the woman-throwing competition!".

-5- Ouch! In Bart's nuts!
